Lineage: Lut AS is the son of Haran, son of Aazar whose lineage traces back to Sam, the eldest son of Nuh AS. Lut AS was the nephew of Ibraheem AS. Ibraheem AS father was Aazar.   Loot is mentioned 27 times in the Quran in 14 Surah.   Evidences that Loot AS is a Prophet From Qur’an: Surah 37:133 - “Lot was also one of the messengers.” The Arabic word ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ is used. The root letters for this word is ل س ر which means messenger, like how we say Rasooli.   Surah 26:160- “The people of Lot, too, called the messengers liars.” Again, the Arabic word messenger is use, symbolising that he has was a messenger.   Surah 7:80 - “We sent Lot and he said to his people, ‘How can you practise this outrage? Lineage: Ibraheem AS is the son of Aazar, son of Nahoor whose lineage traces back to Sam, the eldest son of Nuh AS. Ibraheem AS is mentioned 69 times in 64 verses, in 25 chapters. He is the second most mentioned prophet in the Quran. He has a Surah named after him - Surah Number 14 - Surah Ibraheem.  Evidences that Ibraheem AS is a Prophet From Qur’an: Surah 19:41 - “Mention too, in the Quran, the story of Abraham. He was a man of truth, a prophet.” The Arabic word used in this verse is nabi which means prophet. This is clear evidence that Ibraheem was a prophet. Surah 57:26 - “We sent Noah and Abraham, and gave prophethood and scripture to their offspring: among them there were some who were rightly guided, but many were lawbreakers.” It’s said that Ibraheem is Khalil of Allah - meaning close friend of Allah.
